Contract | Rotating Days and Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) | Shifts may rotate based on operational needs

Key Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting for patients up to 25 years of age
Perform epilepsy monitoring and deliver specialized care across all applicable age groups
Demonstrate competency in ECG/EKG rhythm recognition and administration of inotropes
Complete orientation assessments including an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate evaluation; an acceptable score on both is required
Participate in holiday rotation, working at least every other holiday as scheduled
Submit hours worked accurately through the designated time-tracking system

Required Qualifications

Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
BLS (AHA or American Red Cross) , ACLS , and PALS certifications — must be active and in hand at time of submission
Minimum of 12 months of permanent, paid experience in PICU or the specialty being applied for
One professional reference required from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty — must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months; co-worker references will not be accepted
No open background check cases; license hits will not be accepted
Local candidates are welcome and will be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
Experience with epilepsy monitoring in a pediatric or multi-age setting
Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation in a critical care environment
