Job: Founding Social Media Manager
Location: Miami, FL (Hybrid, 3 days in-office / 2 days remote)
Compensation: up to $80,000 base salary + equity

- Nothing Else is a one-year-old sensitive skincare brand. We're on a mission to remove preservatives from skincare. We're scaling quickly and hiring for our first full-time employee.
The Role
- We are seeking a chronically online, solo operator based in Miami, FL to join as employee #1. You will be a one-person media engine, taking complete ownership of our socials, while working in-person alongside the CEO. You will create content and manage our community.
Core Responsibilities
- Content Production: Script, shoot, edit, and publish native short-form videos (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) and product photography in our Miami office, handling the entire process from concept to export without relying on outside editors or designers.
- Meta Ad Creative R&D: Your content will feed our paid social strategy. Design, film, and iterate on video hooks, problem-agitate-solution angles, and product demos specifically crafted to serve as high-converting creative for our paid Meta ad campaigns.
- Account Ownership: Manage 100% of incoming DMs, comments, tagged posts, and brand mentions across every platform. We view DMs not as administrative customer service, but as direct sales, community building, and our #1 source for customer feedback and content ideas.
- Brand Ambassador & Creator Seeding: Identify micro-creators and passionate customers, manage product gifting, and run our brand ambassador program to build an ongoing library of raw user-generated content (UGC) for organic social and Meta ads.
Who You Are
- Miami-Local Operator: You live in Miami, FL, and want a hybrid workflow where you can collaborate directly, grab physical product, and shoot real-time content on location.
- A Solo Creator at Heart: You know how to take an idea from concept to finished export on your own. You write, film, cut, add captions, and hit publish without needing a videographer, editor, or graphic designer.
- Meta Ads Native: You understand what makes someone stop scrolling on an ad. You analyze retention curves, hook rates, and comment sections to figure out why a piece of content converted.
- Frontline Communicator: You love talking to people in the DMs and comments. You understand that answering customer questions and objections in the inbox is where brand loyalty and sales are won.
Qualifications
- Must be located in the Miami, FL metro area and able to commute to our office in Coconut Grove 3 days per week.
- 2+ years running social channels, creating short-form video content, or managing content production for a consumer/DTC brand, agency, or your own creator accounts.
- Proven portfolio showing self-shot and self-edited short-form video (TikTok / Reels) that demonstrates strong hook writing, clear visual storytelling, and platform-native pacing.
- Deep familiarity with short-form editing tools (CapCut, Premiere Pro, or native platform editors).
- Experience or strong familiarity with performance marketing/Meta ad creative principles (Hooks, Angles, UGC, Us vs. Them).
How We Work & Trial Period
- We are an early-stage startup. Priorities pivot quickly and speed beats perfection every single time.
- To ensure mutual fit, this role begins as a paid 60-day full-time contract trial (at full target salary rate). During this trial, you will have complete ownership of our channels, publish daily, and demonstrate autonomous execution. Upon successfully meeting key creative and operational milestones at Day 60, the role seamlessly transitions into standard full-time employment.
Compensation & Perks
- Base salary up to $80,000 (commensurate with experience).
